In October 2010, RCCM celebrated its 40th birthday with a weeklong celebration featuring special guests from around the world, delegates who played a part in RCCM's history , and the leadership and members of RCCM churches worldwide.
The celebration culmulated at a black-tie gala. That evening, a new film titled "Thrilling Things Ahead" premiered, and the vision was layed out for RCCM's future.

“Thrilling Things Ahead.”
These words audibly reverberated in the silence of Stephen Galvano’s dorm room on Thanksgiving evening in 1968. The campus was quiet. He was alone in his dorm room as his five roommates had gone home for the holiday. The 23 year-old college student sprung up calling for his roommates, even though he was sure that they had all left in the days before. In fact, he
wasn’t alone at all. The presence of God and His audible voice was with him in that dorm room that evening.
Those words leave pause. What exactly is “Thrilling” to GOD? What did God have in mind for this zealous student?
Two years later, in 1970, Stephen Galvano pioneered Rochester Christian Church Ministries, a tiny church of just five people in an old barber shop on the streets of Rochester, New York.
Over the past 40 years, the unimaginable has taken place as we have witnessed the unfolding of the promise that God made in that dorm room in 1968.
We now invite you to celebrate with us. During the week of October 17-24, 2010, RCCM will celebrate walking in that promise for 40 years. Included in the week-long festivities will be an unforgettable black-tie dinner, special musical guests through-out the week, original film premieres, and special guest speakers from around the world. The guest speakers include Pastor Remo Cristallo from Italy, Dr. David Wyns from Rhode Island, Dr. Robert Bwalya from Zambia, Dr. Tommy Reid from Buffalo, Prophet Ron Licalzi from Jefferson, NY and Pastor Anthony Galvano from Argentina.

Thrilling things (still) ahead
We at RCCM deeply believe that God’s promise of “Thrilling Things Ahead” is not a thing of the past, but for tomorrow. We’ve only just begun. Just as the Israelites entered their Promised Land in their 41st year, RCCM, in its 41st year, will continue to impact in ways that weren’t even imaginable 40 years ago. The last 40 years have been incredible but, we believe that over the next ten years, our impact will surpass everything we have done so far. By using things such as the arts, television, new and innovative approaches to evangelism, and following the ever-increasing inspiration that comes from God, we will continue to make a difference for the Kingdom of God.
During the 40 year anniversary RCCM will be launching it’s new identity, which has become the anthem of our hearts and we believe is the gospel summed up in one word: “Believe.” All things are possible if you would just believe.
We look forward to seeing you here at RCCM for the celebration.
