All leading to our 40th anniversary celebration in October, each week RCCM will feature a Historical Picture of the Week. This week's photo is from May, 1974. It shows Pastor Galvano with a guest pastor at the newly acquired Lyell Rd. property. The Lyell Rd. campus (also the current campus) was RCCM's 3rd church in as many years -- as we quickly outgrew the Child St. and Lee Rd. church buildings. The Hexagonal building is seen taking shape in the center rear of the shot. 6.2 Acres were originally purchased, six more purchased a decade later, and three more in 2004 -- bringing the total acreage to over 17. The sign reads "Rochester Christian Church will be your neighbors soon. EVERYONE WELCOME". That montra has not changed over our 40 year history.
